Ruth M. Smith Center
Right now, both of the churches are collecting items for the Ruth M. Smith wish list. This collection will be
an ongoing venture for the churches, and any items that you purchase or collect between now and
October 26th, can be taken to Mission Monday. There will be boxes in the back of the churches for
donations.

Operation Christmas Child
Every year, both of the churches in our Redstone Parish fill shoe boxes with love and gifts, to send to
children around the world. These filled shoe boxes can indeed make a difference in the lives of these
children, they will know that they are loved by God and His people.

Quarters
Every Sunday, in both of our services, Pastor Rob conducts a small children's sermon. Following the sermon and prayer, the children go around and collect quarters from our church members. At the end of each calendar year, the money collected by the two Churches is divided between three different missions. Each year at Little Redstone, the quarters are used to pay the postage for the Operation Christmas Child boxes that are collected. Last year, the remainder of the money was divided equally between Anti- Human Trafficking Awareness and the Connellsville Ministries. This year, Newell is hoping to use the collection to help send our youth to camp.

Connellsville Area Community Ministries
The Connellsville Area Community Ministries needs our help!
"We are running low on food. If you could find it in your heart to please donate something? We
especially need dry goods like pasta, rice, noodles or barley. Hot or cold cereal, peanut butter and
jelly, boxed meals, crackers or anything of that nature. If you are unable to donate food, please pray
for the ministry so that our needs are met and we can meet the needs of the people we serve. God bless you!" This will be an ongoing venture for the church, and boxes will be in the back of the churches for the donations.
Each year, Little Redstone donates funds to the Connellsville Ministries to help support their cause of
offering up different needs and resources to those in the surrounding communities.

Perryopolis Food Bank
Our parish has a close relationship with the Perryopolis Food Bank through the Perryopolis Area Ministerial Association. The food bank packs food for distribution on the second Wednesday of the month and distributes food for pick up on the second Thursday of the month. Volunteer opportunities are available in the mornings on the second Wednesday and Thursday of the month.
Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.
United Methodist Committee on Relief
The Redstone Parish continues to support the United Methodist Committee on Relief by collecting health
and school kits and flood buckets. Right after the tornadoes hit the mid-east and southeast, we collected 9 flood buckets to help with the relief efforts. We continue to seek new opportunities to support the world
wide work of UMCOR.
